Laser-cutting contest – the results!

The results are finally in and we can now announce the winner of our laser-cut paper design contest.

There were plenty of eye-catching and innovative creations which tempted our judges, but one in particular really tugged at the heartstrings, and was designed brilliantly.

Judging the designs were:

Tomos Wilding, Lead Designer, printed.com

Jessica Morgan, Product Manager, printed.com

Jenna Collier, Lead Designer & Owner, Wonderland Invites, www.wonderlandinvites.com

Phylecia Sutherland, Creative Director, www.phyleciasutherland.com

Wendy Lewis, Creative Director, The Foil Invite Co, www.foilinvite.co.uk

In joint 3rd was Samantha Quinn with her stunningly intricate sewing machine, and Laura Grant with her catty Christmas bauble. In 2nd place was Ella Royer with her beautiful menagerie of animals. Our runners up all receive printed.com points! Well done to these three!

And now to the winner….

Congratulations to Jessamine Payne!

Jessamine Payne Design: Winner Laser Cutting Contest Printed.com

Jess wins her own free print-run of her very own laser-cut creation!

After contacting Jess to tell her the good news, she told us this was her first ever laser-cut design and was inspired by her son who says that he loves her to the moon and back. How sweet! We couldn’t have picked a better winner after finding this out.

Thank you to absolutely everyone for submitting some seriously delightful designs. We cannot wait to launch laser-cutting here at printed.com, but you’ll have to wait till 2017 for that wonderful addition.

Here’s something to whet your appetite in the meantime – a preview of what our laser-cutting process looks like, with our winner’s design! Now that’s something to get excited about!
