How to design a calendar in Adobe Illustrator?

Creating print artwork for calendars can be a little confusing. To make things easier, we have created a how-to video covering some speedy time-saving tricks that will make calendar design a breeze. If you’re looking for some of the artwork templates featured in the video, take a look here.

We cover some of the trickier jobs, like creating a calendar date grid in illustrator, resizing images, and designing around the calendar binding. You’ll also learn about ‘bleed’, and how to save a print-ready PDF in Illustrator.

Good luck and happy printing!

Top Tips:

  • When creating your custom Calendars, if you’re printing single-sided you only need to specify the amount of printed sides you require. So, for example, if you’re ordering a single sided calendar with a front cover and 12 months you’ll only need to type in 13. Not 26, as our video states.
  • If you order 14 pages to be printed double sided it would be 7 leaves.
  • Don’t forget to leave space for your drill hole too!
